What I do

In short

I build digital systems that fit a business — not a template. No fixed service menu, no price list. Every project starts by understanding how a business actually works.

Who I am

Pascal Heiniger. Independent designer and systems builder, based in Andermatt, Switzerland. I run P. Heiniger Design as a sole proprietorship — which means no ten-person team, no agency overhead. I am the person you talk to, and the person who does the work.

I work with small businesses, tourism operators, sport organisations, local community projects, and teams whose digital workflows have never been properly sorted. Most clients are in Switzerland. Remote work across Europe is possible.

What Andermatt Design builds

  • Websites — static or with a CMS, depending on what is actually needed
  • Booking flows and inquiry systems
  • Internal workflow tools and automations
  • Brand systems and visual identities
  • Photography and content systems
  • Prototypes for new ideas or products
  • AI-assisted workflows, where that genuinely makes sense

These are not fixed packages. They are a list of tools. Which ones get used is decided together with the client, after I understand where the actual problem is.

Who this is for

  • Small businesses with clear goals but unclear digital structures
  • Tourism and mountain operations in Switzerland (valleys, stations, guides)
  • Sport organisations, associations and local institutions
  • Entrepreneurs who want a single point of contact who does the actual work
  • Projects that need to be tailored, not off-the-shelf

Tools I use

Depends on the project. Typically: Astro, TypeScript, Vercel for hosting, Google Workspace for simple CMS-style data management, Resend for transactional email, Payrexx for Swiss payments, Figma for design, AI tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini) to support the work — always with my own judgement and quality control. AI does not replace craft for me; it accelerates it.

When a website is not the answer

Sometimes the real problem is not a digital one. If after our first conversation it becomes clear that a new website would not solve the actual obstacle, I will say that. I do not build solutions I do not believe in — even if it means no project gets started.

How a project starts

  1. First conversation — no form, no briefing template. I listen.
  2. Analysis — I look at what is already there and where the gaps are.
  3. Individual offer — scope, price and timeline, tailored to the project.
  4. Execution — iterative, with real feedback, not with staged presentations.
  5. Handover — full documentation and technical handover.

Location and way of working

I live and work in Andermatt in the Canton of Uri, Switzerland. Andermatt sits at 1,444 m in the heart of the Alps — that shapes the way I work: direct, practical, focused on what matters.

In-person meetings are possible for clients in Central Switzerland. Most projects run fully remote — video calls, shared documents, and direct feedback without bureaucratic detours.
